Job Description:
The New Tribe of Patriots is seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive growth. This role requires creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of social media platforms and trends. The Social Media Manager will work closely with our marketing and communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand visibility and engagement.
2. Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
3. Manage all social media accounts, including scheduling and publishing posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring performance metrics.
4. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to align social media efforts with overall marketing objectives and campaigns.
5. Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into the strategy as appropriate.
6. Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports and insights to inform future strategies and optimizations.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities for growth and engagement.
8. Foster community engagement and interaction through creative initiatives and campaigns.
9. Respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner, maintaining a positive brand image.
10. Keep abreast of relevant news and developments in Nigeria to ensure timely and relevant content.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in a related industry.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong command of English.
3. In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and their respective best practices, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
4. Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content and campaigns that resonate with the target audience.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Familiarity with social media management tools and software, such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
8. Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience with design software (e.g., Phooshop, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
9. Passion for social change and a commitment to The New Tribe of Patriots’ mission and values.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
